Amy Aussieker has spent 25 years building connections, driving collaboration, and leading transformative initiatives that bring together individuals, companies, and organizations to achieve ambitious goals. Her expertise spans large-scale fundraising, business growth, and—most importantly—creating meaningful community impact.

For the past 13 years, Amy has served as the Executive Director of Envision Charlotte, one of the most effective sustainability nonprofits in Charlotte. Under her leadership, the organization has launched innovative, internationally recognized projects that have reshaped the city’s approach to sustainability and economic development.

One of her most significant achievements has been leading Charlotte’s transition to a circular economy, positioning the city as a national leader in sustainable innovation. At the center of this effort is the Innovation Barn, a first-of-its-kind Circular Economy Innovation Hub designed to demonstrate, incubate, and scale circular solutions. The Barn serves as a living laboratory for entrepreneurs, businesses, and educators to explore waste reduction, resource efficiency, and new business models that drive economic and environmental benefits. Through this initiative, Charlotte has made significant gains, attracting investment, engaging businesses, and proving that sustainability and economic growth can go hand in hand.
