
June Blotnick
- Climate Consultant
June Blotnick currently serves as a Climate Consultant and volunteer for a number of local faith-based and community-based climate initiatives including the GreenFaith Circle of the Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Climate Leaders, and Plaza Midwood NEST (Neighborhood Environmental Stewardship Team).
She “retired” as Executive Director of CleanAIRE NC, a Charlotte-based statewide advocacy organization that works for the health of all North Carolinians by pursuing equitable and collaborative solutions that address climate change and air pollution. June led the organization from 2005 – 2022 in the creation of innovative programs and partnerships as well as advocacy efforts resulting in reduction of air toxics, particle pollution, and carbon emissions. These programs include Clean Air for Kids, Medical Advocates for Healthy Air, Citizen Science AirKeepers, Charlotte Mecklenburg Climate Leaders, and NC Climate Ambassadors.
June has a M.Ed. degree from Appalachian State University and has lived in Charlotte since 1984. Her career has been spent working for nonprofit organizations advocating for community economic development, affordable housing, racial equity, and environmental protection.
